Lindsey Vonn She mourns the loss of her mother
On August 27, the Olympic athlete took to social media to share the heartbreaking news that her mother, Linda Crone“She lost her battle with ALS.”
“She passed away peacefully holding her hand, exactly one year after her diagnosis,” she posted on Instagram, along with a series of reactions and recent photos of the two of them together. “I am so grateful for every moment I had with her, but I am also grateful that she is no longer suffering and at peace. She was a bright light that will never fade and will forever inspire me.”
Lindsey – the most crowned skater of all time – also re-shared the dedication she wrote to her mother in her 2022 memoir, risedescribing the passage, “unfortunately fitting now.”
In the book she originally wrote: “She is my inspiration not because of what she has done in my skiing career, but how she has shaped her enduring positivity into the person I am, and most importantly, away from the slopes.” “Every adversity she faced, I found perspective and inspiration from her. Through the many hardships of her life, they have made her stronger, kinder, and more humble. It is this kind of resolve that has shaped me since I was a child; whether I knew it then or not, I know it now” .
