Scottish DJ Jimmy Roy dead at 33

Scotland has lost a rising music star.

DJ and Producer Jimmy Roy, a native of Dumfries and has died worldwide. He was 33 years old.

The musician’s family announced his death on their official Facebook page on September 21, “Jimmy passed away yesterday,” according to the message. “Jimmy was a very lovable and talented son, brother, nephew, and cousin who was loved by many of his friends and colleagues inside and outside the music industry. We are all totally heartbroken.”

The cause of Roy’s death has not been announced.
