More than 35 years after Goo Goo Dolls They released their first studio album, fans will understand if the group wants to slow down and stick to their classic songs like “Iris” and “Black Balloon” on live shows.

But while the rock group celebrates their thirteenth album Chaos in Bloom With a tour around the country, Johnny says he still has a lot to sing about.

“I’m bored and I’m upset,” the Goo Goo Dolls player exclusively shared with E! News. “There’s always a different way to approach it. I always think I can do it that way. This album was a huge leap for me in trying to take most of the production on it. I made a decision that I might not get a song on the radio, but I have to go for it.”
